How can you determine if a knot is an unknot (a simple loop) given a diagram of the knot?

This is a maths problem question. Write the answer of my question as early as possible.

A knot diagram can be determined to represent the unknot (a simple loop) if it can be drawn without any crossings. So this means the knot can be deformed into a simple circle without any strands passing over or under each other.
