What is the basic difference between the asteroids and comets? Give your answer with reference to their orbits and their composition. Give me a brief description. You may use a diagram to explain the concepts.

Asteroids  and comets are both small celestial bodies orbiting the sun, but they differ in their composition and how they appear.
Asteroids are primarily rocky and metallic while comets are icy and dusty, often displaying a glowing tail as they approach the sun.
