How to manage Severe High Cholesterol.

My brother is suffering from extremely high cholesterol (LDL > 190 mg/dL)  and he is experiencing fatigue and chest discomfort. Is it raising serious heart disease risks? What urgent suggestions with respect to his lifestyle changes, diet, medications have worked in similar cases?

    Yes high LDL cholesterol level increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Immediate intervention is essential to mitigate these risks.
    Lifestyle Modifications include:
    1.Dietary Changes:Increase Intake of Fruits and Vegetables which are rich in fibre.
    2.Choose healthy fats like olive oil, avacados and nuts, and reduce saturated fats like butter, dairy products.
    3. Intake of foods like oats, barley, flaxseeds and almonds which reduces the cholesterol levels.
    4.Engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, such as brisk walking or cycling. 
    5.Weight management and if you are a smoker then quit smoking.
    And if by changing your lifestyle also doesn't help then consult a doctor promptly to evaluate the chest discomfort and discuss a comprehensive management plan tailored to your brother's specific needs.
